장순하 시조에 나타난 에코페미니즘
노산 이은상은 1968년 발간한 장순하 시인의 제1시조집 책머리에 ｢시원｣에는 생명의 근원을 찾는 아르케의 노래들을 모았다고 썼다. 본 논문은 이러한 장순하 시인의 생명에 관한 인식이 나타난 양상을 에코페미니즘 관점을 중심으로 살펴 보았다. 장순하 시인은 문학은 예술의 한 갈래, 예술은 문화의 한 갈래인데, 문화는 자연 현상과 대립한다고 주장한다. 하지만 한 시인이 전 생애를 걸쳐 창작하는 작품들은 매우 다양한 스펙트럼으로 나타난다. 시인은 일제강점기와 한국전쟁 등을 체험한다. 그러한 그의 작품에는 생명에 대한 지향성이 짙게 나타난 것으로 생각된다. 이 논문은 이러한 장순하 시인의 시세계 나타난 에코페미니즘을 자연 을 통한 모성과 조화, 억압과 불평등 해소를 위한 노력, 복원과 순환의 생명시학 등으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 장순하 시인은 자아를 육체를 통한 관계 속에서 파악하고 있었다. 생명은 사 랑을 통해 잉태되므로 시인은 여성적 이미지와 자연의 이미지를 접목시키는 상 상력을 토애 생명을 노래하였다. 또한, 인간과 인간, 인간과 자연을 동등한 관계 로 보았다. 그러면서 억압과 불평등한 사회 구조, 민족의 갈등, 실향민의 고향 상 실의 아픔 등을 작품으로 형상화하였다. 그러면서 복원과 순환을 지향하는 시인 의 생명의식은 질경이, 빼뿌쟁이 등의 소재를 통해 선명한 이미지로 보여주고 있 었다. 시인은 우주를 집으로 보고 인간과 인간이 인간과 자연이 서로 동화되며 상생 하는 모습을 보여주었다. 전 생애에 걸친 시세계는 인간과 자연에 대한 신뢰를 잘 반영하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 향후, 우리 시단도 남성으로 대변되는 침 략과 파괴의 칼날보다는, 여성으로 대변되는 조화와 균형의 회복이 절실히 필요 하다 할 것이다. 사상과 종교의 대립, 전쟁의 위협과 지구 환경의 이변 등이 우 리를 위협해도, 우리는 인류에 대한 믿음을 결코 포기할 수 없기 때문이다. 장순 하 시인의 시조에 대한 이번 연구는 이런 면에서 좋은 전범이 되고 있다고 판단 된다.
Ecofeminism Represented in Chang Soonha’s Sijo
Poet Nosan Lee-Eunsang wrote in the headcap of Chang Soon-ha’s first collection of Sijo, “Siwon” published in 1968 that he collected songs about arche looking for the root of life. This paper investigated Chang Soon-ha’s awareness of life in the aspect of ecofeminism. Poet Chang Soon-ha insisted that literature is one brach of art and art is one branch of culture and culture oppose nature. Works of one poet through his life can be represented by various spectrum. He experienced Japanese colonial rule and Korean war, so his directivity to life can be deeply represented in his works. This paper investigated poet Chang Soon-ha’s ecofeminism appeared in his works in the aspect of motherhood and harmony through nature, effort for resolving suppression and inequality, and poetics of restoration and circulation. Poet Chang Soon-ha understood self in the relationship through body. Life got pregnant through love, so he sing the life through imagination of combining woman image and nature image. And he saw human in equal relationship and he embodied suppression, inequal society, conflict of nation and pain of losing hometown. Meanwhile his awareness of life aiming restoration and circulation showed clear image through great plantain. Poet Chang Soon-ha saw the universe as home, and he showed ecofeminism in which human assimilate with human and nature. He confirmed the ecofeminism which loved human and nature throughout his life. And, it is considered that his works aiming life can be a good model to poets creating Sijo nowadays.
