인문도시 광산에서 피어난 광주시민자유대학
이 글은 인문도시 광산에서 시작된 <광주시민자유대학>의 이념과 실천을 공 유하기 위해 썼다. 이를 위해 나는 먼저 미래의 인문학의 방향을 ‘시민 인문학’, ‘소통 인문학’, ‘놀이 인문학’으로 설정한다. 이 기초 위에서 인문도시 광산 프로그 램을 마이너리티 정신의 지향으로 해석한다. 이 맥락에서 인문도시 광산의 ‘빛뫼 인문학’은 세계시민적 인문복지 프레임을 찾는다. 그리고 그 과정에서 선조들의 민립대학 설립 의지를 받들어 지역성, 공공성, 상호주체성, 자립성, 지속가능성의 원칙으로 광주시민자유대학을 만든다. 광주시민자유대학은 모든 존재가 공생 공 감하는 ‘인문한국’의 꿈이다.
