도덕적 책임과 정치적 책임 : 상호신뢰 책임을 중심으로
이 논문은 탈 도덕적 책임 개념의 한계를 지적하고 도덕적 책임에 근간을 둔 정치적 책임의 확장 가능성을 모색한다. 이를 위해 귀속과 대답가능성으로 정의 되는 책임의 주요 측면을 탐구하고 현대사회에서 주도적인 탈 도덕적 책임 개념 을 비판적으로 검토한다. 이 글의 후반부에서는 그 대안으로 아리스토텔레스의 자발성 논의를 기반으로 사회적 책임으로 확대될 수 있는‘상호신뢰 책임’개념 을 다룬다. 이 글의 목표는 귀속과 대답가능성의 통합을 통해 정치적 책임의 가 능성을 타진해보는 것이다.
Moral Responsibility and Political Responsibility : the Role of Entrusted Responsibility
The basic purpose of the paper is aimed at critical examination of the limitation to demoralize responsibility and search for a new extended notion of responsibility based on moral conception of imputation. To achieve this end, the paper examines two interrelated notions of ‘ imputation’and ‘accountability’which are the basis for the notion of responsibility. After pointing out the fundamental problems of Strawson’s treatment of attribution and ascription that were served as the foundation of de-moralizing responsibility, I tend to suggest a possible alternative account of responsibility which is based on Ricoeur’s notion of‘ entrusted responsibility’and a possibility to extend it to social responsibility. My overall aim is to show that there should be deeper understanding of political responsibility based on moral imputation, in spite of the fact that there is a possibility to generate unexpected consequences.
