임화 시에 대한 마르크스주의 이론적 분석 ─ 단편서사시를 중심으로
임화 시의 형식적 특성 중 가장 특징적인 것은 서사성의 도입이라고 할 수 있 다. 그리고 그것은 시작품의 대중성 향상에 기여함으로써 기존의 프로시들이 갖 고 있던 한계를 어느 정도 극복해주었고, 주관적 서정의 세계에 서사성을 도입함 으로써 서정 양식을 확대했다는 의의를 지닌다. 그러나 가장 큰 의의는 계급 현 실의 구체화와 적극적 현실대응을 추구했다는 점일 것이다. 당대 식민지 현실에 대한 시적 대응은 역사의 총체적인 왜곡 상태에서 우리 민족 전체가 신음하고 있 던 당시에 개인 서정의 주관적 진술만으로는 표현하는 것이 거의 불가능한 상황 이었다. 때문에 임화는 이 현실을 객관적이고도 감성적으로 드러내기 위해 산문 이 지니고 있는 서사구조를 도입한 것이며, 시 속에 담긴 이야기는 당대의 현실 을 적확하게 반영함으로써 프로시로서의 사회 비판 기능과 시문학으로서의 미학 을 함께 득할 수 있는 발판이 되었다.
The Theoretical Analysis on Marxism Shown in Im-hwa’s Poetry ─ Focusing on Short Epics
The biggest formal characteristic of Im-hwa’s poetry is the introduction of narrativity. Its significance is to overcome the limitations of the existing proletarian poetry by contributing to the improvement of poetry popularization, and also to expand the lyrical style by introducing narrativity to the world of subjective lyricism. However, the biggest significance is to pursue the materialization of the class reality and the active response to the reality. At that time when the whole nation was moaning in the colonial era, it was almost impossible to express the subjective statement of personal lyricism when the overall history was distorted. Therefore, Im-hwa introduced the narrative structure of prose to show the reality objectively and emotionally. As the story in his poetry exactly reflected the reality of the time, it has become a foothold to get the function of social criticism as proletarian poetry and also the aesthetics of poetry.
